Introducting Our Instructor Training Program!
We created this program for those dancers that want to learn what goes into the role of a dance educator. Not only will the dancers receive real-world, practical training, but also become a role model and mentor to our younger students.
Accepting applications until August 14th. Chosen candidates will be notified by email and will begin assisting during the week of August 17th.
This program is absolutely *FREE* to all participants.
Our Why:
We believe some dancers are meant to do more than just dance - they are meant to inspire others! K Dance wants to nurture the next generation of dance educators by giving aspiring instructors the tools, knowledge and experience they need to confidently step into the role of a teacher. Our K Dance students have the potential to become incredible teachers, mentors and leaders.
Our How:
We want to give our dancers the opportunity to learn what really goes into teaching a class, from creating choreography and lesson plans to learning how to connect with and motivate their students. The chosen Teacher Assistants will work directly with our instructors every week for 10 months to learn the skills and tools needed to teach and become a role model for other students.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Current K Dance Studio student
- 10 month commitment required (August - May)
- Assist with at least one weekly class
